Principals

David Skudder is the Trading Principal of Global Ag, LLC and is responsible for all trading decisions. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech University where he received his B.S. in Agricultural Economics in 1983.

In April of 1985, Mr. Skudder joined Continental Grain Company, a multi-national grain trading company headquartered in Manhattan, New York. While employed with Continental Grain Company, Mr. Skudder held various trading positions that provided him a broad and lasting knowledge of grain and oilseed production, merchandising trends, transportation and logistics, and global trade flows. Upon leaving Continental Grain, Mr. Skudder became a cash grain broker, concentrating primarily on the barge corn and wheat trade. For a short time after that, he managed the grain program for Bruce Oakely, Inc., a mid-sized independent firm based in Little Rock, Arkansas.

In 1992, Mr. Skudder joined the Sparks/Memphis office of Refco, a commodities trading firm where he focused primarily on commercial grain and food company business. He eventually transitioned from the commercial/customer business to managing his own money and trading speculatively for a group of investors.

Effective November 2005, Mr. Skudder was approved by the NFA as an Associated Person of Nesvick Trading Group, and in November 2008, he became a Principal of Global Ag, LLC. With Global Ag, Mr. Skudder employs trading strategies and methodologies that are similar to those he employs individually in his capacity as an Associated Person.  

Tom Nesvick is the Operating Principal of Global Ag, LLC, handling its executive and corporate management functions from its offices in Memphis, Tennessee. In April 1981, Mr. Nesvick was registered as an Associated Person of Garvey Commodities Corp, a registered FCM. He became a Principal of Garvey in October 1989. In 1992, Mr. Nesvick was approved as an AP and later as a Principal and Branch Manager of Refco, LLC. On October 24, 2005, He was approved by the NFA as an Associated Person and Principal of Nesvick Trading Group, LLC.  

Brian Leith is a Principal of Nesvick Trading Group, LLC, where he serves as the Compliance Officer and oversees the operations of the trading desk. He is also a listed Principal of Opus Futures, LLC. Brian graduated from the University of Memphis in 2001 with a B.B.A in International Business. He returned to the University of Memphis and earned his Masters in Business Administration in 2006. Mr. Leith was approved as an AP of Nesvick Trading Group, LLC in October 2005. Brian became registered as a Principal of NTG in May 2009. Brian is an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, a Vigil Honor member and past Lodge Chief of the Order of the Arrow. He is an active member of the Christian Brothers, University of Memphis, & Pi Kappa Alpha Alumni associations of the Mid South Area.
